Recovery Checklist

q    Strive to return to learning as quickly as possible.

q    Restore the physical plant, as well as the school community.

q    Monitor how staff is assessing students for the emotional impact of the crisis.

q    Identify what follow up interventions are available to students, staff, and first responders.

q    Conduct debriefings with staff and first responders.

q    Assess curricular activities that address the crisis.

      q    Allocate appropriate time for recovery.

q    Plan how anniversaries of events will be commemorated.

q    Capture “lessons learned” and incorporate them into revisions and trainings.
