Livingston County Judge Executive signs
Proclamation for Kentucky Safe Schools Week

Madison County School Students Witness Governor Signing of SSW Proclamation

Recently, the Kentucky Center for School Safety at Eastern Kentucky University took Madison County students to Frankfort to watch Governor Steven L. Beshear sign a proclamation declaring Safe Schools Week. Students were from Kit Carson, St. Mark, Kirksville, White Hall, Clark Moores and Madison Central. Also pictured are Dr. Jack Rose, professor at Murray State University, Jon Akers, Executive Director of the Kentucky Center for School Safety and Karen McCuiston, Murray State University, KCSS Post-Secondary Component Director.
 

Calloway County Judge Executive Signs Kentucky Safe Schools Week Proclamation

Judge Executive Larry Elkins signed the Kentucky Safe Schools Week Proclamation witnesses by Calloway County Superintendent, Steve Hoskins, Dean of the College of Education at Murray State University, Dr.Russ Wall, Calloway County High School SRO Brandon Gallimore, MSU, Dr. Jack Rose, Executive Director of the Professional Standards Board, Dr. Phil Rogers, CMS SRO, Karen Brandon and teachers and students from preschool- high school level.
Murray Mayor Signs Kentucky Safe Schools Week Proclamation

Mayor Tom Rushing signs the Kentucky Safe Schools Week Proclamation and is witnessed by  Murray Ind School System Superintendent Bob Rogers, Murray High School Counselor Cleta Benningfield, Murray Elementary Principal, Janet Caldwell and students from Murray High, Middle and Elementary.  Dr. Jack Rose, Dr. Russ Wall from Murray State University and Dr. Phil Rogers from the Education Professional Standards Board were also in attendance.
Paducah Mayor Bill Paxton Signs Safe Schools Week Proclamation

Paducah Mayor Bill Paxton issued a proclamation designating October 19 - 25 as "Safe Schools" week.  The proclamation was received by Paducah Public Schools at the City Commission meeting on October 21.Pictured left to right:  Mayor Bill Paxton, City Clerk Tammara Brock, Commissioner Gayle Kaler, Commissioner Robert Coleman

Print a Pledge

A Kentucky Second grader a North Elementary waits for her Pledge Against Bullying to print out, her principal, Margaret Cook, school nurse, Tina Ryan and teacher Noraa Ransey looks on.  The entire class has taken the pledge and this is a school-wide/district-wide project.  Calloway County/Murray has over 2,200 Online pledges tallied.
